85-year-old man dies in collision at traffic lights near Oksbøl

An 85-year-old man died on Sunday afternoon in connection with a traffic accident at Blåvandvej near Oksbøl.

This is what the Southern and Southern Jutland Police write on the social media Twitter.

The man’s next of kin have been notified.

The other driver he hit in connection with the accident is uninjured, according to the police.

The police write that the 85-year-old ran a red light at the traffic lights between Blåvandvej and Vejers Havvej. He drove over at low speed.

Here he collided with another car.

Earlier in the afternoon the intersection was closed due to the work of the police and emergency services at the scene.

South and South Jutland Police warned that it could cause major traffic challenges, as the road is the main thoroughfare to Blåvand and Vejers.

But shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, the police announced on Twitter that it was possible to pass the scene of the accident.

The police urged people to drive with care, as the police were still working on the scene around 5:30 p.m.
