603 PV for speeding during a tuning rally!

Several hundred tuning enthusiasts gathered on November 20 and 21 in Servon, in Seine-et-Marne… And were issued tickets for speeding.

The gatherings of tuning are a great opportunity for owners of “tuned” cars (to which we brought aesthetic or mechanical modifications not recommended by the manufacturer) to display their “babies”.

Everyone’s motivations are diverse. Some only add some aerodynamic appendages to their car (spoiler, air intakes, spoiler), when others parent them heavy modifications (engine reprogramming, plethora of speakers, fanciful colors, etc…).

Anyway, all have in common one passion for cars, for the beautiful sounds, and sometimes also for a little (too much) speed !

Public order disturbances

It is on the occasion of a gathering of this kind, at Servon in Seine-et-Marne (77), that several hundred of these amateurs were fined for excessive speed. At least this is the link that the police made that day between this gathering and the few 603 PV issued for speeding on the departmental road 619, in the immediate vicinity of the event location.

During the weekend, it is like this 266 verbalizations on Saturday and 337 on Sunday that have been notified, mainly at the exit of the car park where the few 600 vehicles (per day) were parked.

135.3 dB

Obviously difficult to say for sure that 100% of the verbalizations came from the event, ensures the Police brigade dispatched to the scene that day. But according to them the link seems nevertheless clear.

Several participants interviewed on site, for their part, explained that they were looking for this kind of event to put more emphasis on the sound and power of their car. Rather than his pure and simple speed, in particular by making breakers. Understand by that, by going to maximum engine speed, at the bottom of the red zone.
