The certificate was awarded at a seminar on ‘Intellectual Property in Realizing the Dream of the Father of the Nation’ organized by the Department of Patents, Designs and Trademarks (DPDT) under the Ministry of Industry and on the occasion of ‘World Intellectual Property Day-2021’.

Meanwhile, Vijay Digital’s Mostafa Jabbar and Hisab Limited were awarded certificates for ‘patents’ at the same event. Besides, BD Food Limited, Jihan Plastic Industries and Aman Plastic Industries were awarded certificates for ‘Design’.
Also ‘Trademarks’ are provided by Pran-RFL Group, Mohana Television Limited, Access to Information (A2I) Program, Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Limited, Golden Trade International BDs and Inc.
Abdus Sattar, Registrar, DPDT, said, “The Department of Patents, Designs and Trademarks has issued 6,021 patent certificates, 16,496 design certificates and 82,609 trademark registration certificates since independence. And we have given GI certificate for 9 products.
They are – Hilsa, Jamdani, Dhakai Muslin, Khirsapat Mango, Kalijira Rice, Kataribhog Rice, Shataranji, Rajshahi Silk and Sadamati of Vijaypur.
