424 COVID cases detected in Latvia per day, eight people died

Over the past day, 424 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Latvia, eight infected have died, according to the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).

The deceased were in the 50 to 90 age group.

On Friday, 4,955 tests were made for Covid-19, the proportion of positive results was 8.6%.

The 14-day cumulative incidence per 100,000 inhabitants is 548.6 cases.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in Latvia, 76 706 people have been identified, 1451 people have died, which is 1.9% of the total number of infected.

According to the LETA agency’s calculations, over the past 14 days, Covid-19 in Latvia has been confirmed in 10,465 people, the 14-day cumulative incidence per 100,000 inhabitants is 548.6 cases.
