To date, on July 3, in Romania, 28,166 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 20,432 were discharged, of which 19,545 patients cured and 887 asymptomatic patients discharged 10 days after detection.
To date, 1,708 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 02.07.2020 (10:00) – 03.07.2020 (10:00) there were registered 21 deaths (12 men and 9 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Arges, Bacau, Botosani, Braila, Brasov, Buzau, Dambovita, Galati, Giurgiu, Maramures, Mehedinti, Bucharest, Prahova, Sibiu and Tulcea.
At the moment, 224 patients are hospitalized at ATI.
On the Romanian territory, there are 741 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 58,991 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.
To date, 747,592 tests have been processed nationwide.
In the last 24 hours, 457 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 1,396 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 483 contraventional sanctions, amounting to 197,000 lei.
At the same time, on July 2 this year, 38 persons who did not comply with the measure of isolation at home or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or the measure of institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 4,995 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 107 in France, 2,275 in Germany, 97 in the United Kingdom , 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 6 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Sweden.
