400-year-old Mona Lisa replica to go on sale

Replicas of the Mona Lisa painting, bought by the King of France, François I from Leonardo da Vinci in 1518, and exhibited in the Louvre Museum in Paris today, continue to attract the attention of art lovers.

According to the news in Sputnik Turkey, after one of the world’s most famous Mona Lisa replicas was sold for a record price a few months ago, another 400-year-old replica will be put up for sale at the auction to be held by the Artcurial auction house in Paris on Tuesday.

The replica, which is said to have been painted in the 1600s and is estimated to have seen the original Mona Lisa closely due to its almost identical resemblance to the original, is expected to find buyers for a price between 150 thousand and 200 thousand Euros.

In June, another 17th century Mona Lisa replica was purchased by a European collector for a record 2.9 million euros.
