3D artists create mind-blowing renders for a unique challenge

Hundreds of 3D artists participated in a challenge that consisted of creating a unique render from an animation, creating some that are amazing.

The organizer of the challenge is the special effects designer Clinton Jones, who at the beginning of May of this year launched the challenge which lasted 1 month and through which he received 2,400 jobs for his Alternative Realities CG challenge.

Jones provided an animation that was the basis for the artists to create unique renderings and as he himself says, “the results were impressive“.

The organizer of the challenge chose what he considered the best 100 renders of the 2,400 submitted works and created a montage, although only 5 of them took very good prizes from Jones’s favorite companies: Wacom, Quixel, PNY, Rokoko and Aftershokz. They offered very products to reward the winners.

The 5 winners, along with the exact time they appear in the video are as follows:

  1. – Stephen Grimm 1:32
  2. – Klay Abele 0:22
  3. – Julienne Aldric 8:37
  4. – Stefan Frank 2:12
  5. – Pierson Edwards 6:22
