Suara.com – In the midst of current conditions, the rapid development of technology and the digital world forces Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt quickly by changing their business business models. Related to this, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk through the BUMN House (RB) continues to be committed to empowering MSME players by providing business and digital literacy in order to increase their capacity and capabilities oriented to “go modern, go digital, go online, and go global ”.
Throughout 2020, as many as 350 thousand MSME players who take shelter in 56 RB managed by BRI have joined the digital ecosystem. Here, the MSME players are given assistance (workshops and coaching) with the hope that they are not only ready for business and exposed to digitalization, but also for upgrading and entering the global market.
“We encourage SMEs to be technology literate and able to become technopreneurs so that they can increase their productivity. Business actors also receive training on methods or how to expand online market access through the Indonesia Mall and PADI UMKM platforms, “said Catur Budi Harto, Deputy President Director of BRI.
In BUMN Homes, MSMEs are grouped based on their competence so that the training provided can be more in accordance with the conditions of each UMKM; starting from the traditional, developing, and modern competency stages. In each of these groups, BRI has prepared modules in accordance with these competencies.
MSMEs with traditional & developing competencies will receive training in business & finance, capital, market segmentation & target, production & marketing processes and total quality management. As for modern competencies, the training program will emphasize more on quality efficiency, standardization of production and development of new products.
For MSMEs with a go global perspective, BRI provides a Go Global Incubator program that focuses more on preparing MSME players to enter the global market. In this program, MSMEs will go through a series of selection processes before entering the incubation stage and intensive assistance to enter the global market, both local and international.
“BRI continues to strive to open distribution access and expand the marketing network for MSME players by relentlessly building a business mindset and digital skills that are needed by the current global market in order to be able to compete in the global market,” concluded Catur.
