30,000 from Rohingya camp detained with amphetamine yaba

The Armed Police Battalion (APBN) detained two people, including 30,000 amphetamine yaba, from their homes in the Rohingya camp in Ukhia. They were arrested around 5 pm on Saturday (November 20).

The detainees are Mojibullah, 20, son of Salim Ullah of Camp-6 East and Mohammad Shah, 21, son of late Syed Kashem of Camp-2W.

According to APBN sources, on Saturday (November 20) at around 5 pm on the basis of secret information, under the direction of Commanding Officer of 8 Armed Police Battalion Mohammad Sihab Kaiser Khan, Assistant Camp Commander of Panbazar Police Camp-09 Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Haque along with his fellow officers-force conducted a special anti-drug operation and arrested two persons with 30,000 amphetamine yaba-like tablets from the residence of Mohammad Johar (22) of Camp-6 East.

Meanwhile, another accused Abdul Majid’s son FDMN member Mohammad Johar (22) sensed the presence of police and fled.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Media) of the 8th Armed Police Battalion Md. Kamran Hossain confirmed the truth and said that regular cases are being filed against two arrested accused and one fugitive accused at Ukhia Police Station.
