30% more building permits issued in October

As many as 3,843 building permits were issued in October 2021, which represents an increase of 30.5% compared to the same period last year, announced the Republic Bureau of Statistics.

Of the total number of permits issued in October, 87.3% related to buildings and 12.7% to other buildings.

As far as buildings are concerned, 86.7% of permits were issued for residential and 13.3% for non-residential buildings, while for other buildings the largest part refers to pipelines, communication and electricity lines (70.3%).

Based on these permits the construction of 2,950 apartments was approved, with an average area of ​​74.8 square meters.

Of the total number of dwellings in new residential buildings, 13.9% will be built in single-dwelling buildings, with an average area of ​​144.2 square meters, and 85.1% in buildings with three or more dwellings, with their average the area will be significantly smaller and will amount to 62.2 square meters.

The estimated value of new construction works in October 2021 is 94.7% of the total estimated value of works.

The highest construction activity is expected in the North Bačka region, 65.1% of the projected value of new construction, followed by the Belgrade region (18.2%), South Bačka region (2.6%) and Zlatibor region (1.9%), while participation other areas range up to 1.8%.
