Suara.com – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the number of domestic air transport passengers departing in March 2022 as many as 3.9 million people, an increase of 37.17 percent compared to February 2022.

Meanwhile, the number of domestic sea transport passengers who departed in March 2022 was recorded at 1.3 million people, an increase of 9.65 percent compared to February 2022.

Meanwhile, the number of goods transported rose 7.36 percent to 27.1 million tons.

So that during January-March 2022, the number of passengers reached 3.8 million people, an increase of 1.86 percent compared to the same period in 2021, while the number of goods transported decreased 0.59 percent or reached 78.1 million tons.

The number of train passengers departing in March 2022 was 19.4 million people, an increase of 48.76 percent compared to February 2022.

Similar to the number of passengers, the number of goods transported by trains increased by 19.54 percent to 5.1 million tons.

“During January–March 2022, the number of passengers reached 50.2 million people, an increase of 33.40 percent compared to the same period in 2021. In the same way, the number of goods transported by train rose 14.16 percent to 13.5 million tons, ” he concluded.
