280 new vehicles for the Greek Police

The fleet of vehicles of the Greek Police was reinforced with an additional 280 new vehicles. It’s about:

  • 80 patrols (for border guards in Evros)
  • 30 agricultural vehicles (for border guarding in Evros)
  • 4 SUVs (for border guards in Evros)
  • 95 motorcycles (for the teams of DI.AS Athens – Thessaloniki)
  • 5 Cranes
  • 42 special transport vehicles for patients with covid-19
  • 24 vehicles for the Nea Odos Motorway Traffic Department

The cost for their purchase amounts to 6,160,220 euros, money that came from the state budget and European funds. They were received today by the Minister of Civil Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, at the premises of the Officers’ School in Amygdaleza, in the presence of the Secretary General. Public Order Konstantinos Tsouvalas and the Chief of the Hellenic Police, Lieutenant General Michael Karamalakis.
