24H Series Powered by Hankook Season 2021 Officially Begins

DAPURPACU – Endurance car racing event, 24H Series 2021 officially started on January 14. Dubai is the first country in a series of series to be held over the next 11 months.

The 24H Series is the largest endurance race in the world where the world’s premium supercars such as the Porsche 991, Lamborghini Hurac├ín, Mercedes-AMG GT4, and Audi R8 race on the latest circuit for 24 hours without stopping.

The 2021 season consists of eight rounds held in seven countries namely Italy, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Spain and the United States, as well as Dubai. Meanwhile, the GT (Grand Touring) and TCE (Touring Car Endurance) divisions will continue to participate separately.

Hankook 24H Dubai is held at the Dubai Autodrome, with a track length of 5.39 km located in the middle of the desert. As the championship’s official partner, Hankook will issue their flagship tires, taking into account the geographical conditions there.

As is well known, in the presence of sandstorms and volatile climatic conditions, tires must have high durability and grip. Tire performance is key when racing, because tires play an important role in cornering swiftly and braking perfectly on extreme terrain.

In the 2020 season, the AtlasBX Motorsports team sponsored by Hankook Tire participated for the first time in the 24H Series to score a GT4 class win at 24H Dubai 2020 upon debut.

For information, Hankook Tire was recently selected as the exclusive supplier for the ‘ABB FIA Formula E World Series’ electric car championship for the 2022/23 season.

This racing event is also the debut of the Gen3 electric racing car which will be introduced at this prestigious event. [dp/MTH]
