The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against three officials of Dhaka Wasa for embezzling Tk.

The defendants in the case are – former revenue inspector of Dhaka Wasa and co-chairman of the PPI project management committee Md. Md. Mizanur Rahman, WASA’s former revenue inspector and PPI Board of Directors. Habib Ullah Bhuiyan and Dhaka Wasar revenue zone-6 computer operator. Naemul Hasan.
According to the statement of the case, during the ten years from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2020, according to the agreement signed between Dhaka Wasa and Dhaka Wasa Employees Bhumukhi Sambay Samity Limited, PPI (Program for Performance Improvement) activities amounting to Tk. 2485.55 million was embezzled. The accused did. The investigation of the ACC has proved that the accused in connivance with each other have illegally embezzled the money from the bank account maintained in the name of the PPI management committee on behalf of the Dhaka Wasa Employees Multipurpose Society Limited.
Due to which a case has been filed against them under Section 409/109 of the Penal Code and Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947.
