2021 car eco-incentives: funds released

Finally available i 700 million euros for all citizens who decide to purchase a low-emission vehicle in 2021, both as regards L1 motorcycles, and therefore all mopeds with 50 cc displacement, M1 cars with a maximum of 8 seats, and the new category N1, of which includes light commercial vehicles.

The Ministry of Economic Development announced in a note that from this morning at 10 (Monday 18 January 2021), all dealers have the opportunity to access the ecobonus.mise.gov.it platform to enter the reservations of the contribution. The Mise also explained that, thanks to the Budget Law 2021, as we know, other resources dedicated to the automotive fund have been allocated, which are added to the contributions already foreseen with the Budget Law of 2019 and also with the two dl, Relaunch and August, last year.

They have been added another 120 million euros valid throughout 2021 to funds for contributions granted to vehicles with emissions between 0 and 20 g / km and between 21 and 60 g / km. Thus today the total resources amount to 390 million euros, 270 million in fact were already allocated and the residues of past years can be added further. The incentives are divided as follows:

  • vehicles with CO2 emissions from 0 to 20 g / km: € 6,000 with scrapping and € 4,000 without;
  • vehicles with CO2 emissions from 21 to 60 g / km: € 2,500 with scrapping and € 1,500 without.

To the two bands you can add 2,000 euros with scrapping and 1,000 without scrapping until December 31, 2021, adding also the dealer’s discount of at least 2,000 euros or 1,000 euros (with or without scrapping an old vehicle). The two emission bands 61-90 g / km and 91-110 g / km have been grouped into a single one from 61 to 135 g / km, financed with 250 million euros. Previous funding has run out. There is a bonus of 1,500 euros for 6 months and only with scrapping, with an additional discount from the dealership of at least 2,000 euros. On special N1 and M1 light commercial vehicles, as anticipated, another concession was added in proportion to emissions and financed with 50 million euros.
