2 village roads closed to traffic due to landslide in Rize


Due to the ongoing rain in the city since Friday, December 2, a landslide occurred in Sütlüce and Başköy village of Güneysu district. Special Provincial Administration teams continue to work to open the roads to transportation.

Cleaning is also carried out in order to open the culverts clogged due to sediment after heavy rain. The fallen trees on the road were cut by the citizens and removed from the road.

SOME VEHICLES ARE STRAINED

The headman of Sütlüce village, Ercan Koyuncu, said that some vehicles were stuck after the landslide.

Koyuncu stated that geography is difficult, “It is important that there is no loss of life as a result of landslides. 4 vehicles were stranded in the neighborhood of our village. For this reason, some of our citizens could not go to work. The road will be opened again in a short time.” said.

Uğur Koyuncu, on the other hand, stated that they could not go to work because the cars were stuck due to the closure of the road.
