10 days organized at the parade ground on the golden jubilee of independence

A 10-day special program is being organized at the National Parade Ground from March 18 to 26 to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence. Domestic and foreign guests will participate in these events following the hygiene rules in the corona virus epidemic.

The Government expects the Presidents of the Maldives and Nepal and the Prime Minister of India to be the distinguished guests at the event.

Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, chief coordinator of the National Implementation Committee to Celebrate the Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said this at a virtual meeting on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by National Professor Rafiqul Islam, Chairman of the Committee.

Kamal Chowdhury said all preparations have already been completed for the ten-day event under the theme ‘Mujib Chirantan’ as per the instructions of the Prime Minister on the occasion of the birth centenary celebrations of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

During the ten-day event, Bangandhur will be honored every day with different themed discussion programs, cultural programs, audio-visual exhibitions and other special presentations.

The themes of the ten days will be- ‘Bhenche Duaar Aesho Jyotirmoy’, ‘Mahakaler Tarjani’, ‘Yatkal Robe Padma Jamuna’, ‘Tarunyer Alokshikha’, ‘Dhwangastupe Jeevaner Gaan’, ‘Banglar Mati Amar Mati’, ‘Nari Mukti, Samy O Swadhinata’, ‘Pioneers of Peace-Liberation and Humanity’, ‘The Night and Day of Genocide’, and ‘Fifty Years of Independence and the Golden Line of Progress’.
